This Stephen Yearick Couture wedding dress is in pristine condition and was worn for a few hours during a 1920's glam Great Gatsby inspired wedding. The detailed bead work is impeccable and the dress literally sparkles and glows. The pictures don't show the true beauty and the way it shimmered and reflected the lighting. I have received many compliments since the wedding that it was the most beautiful wedding dress people have ever seen! The dress fits like a size 4, not 8 like the label says. I felt like a princess in the dress.
The bodice of the dress features a belt-like beaded section that pulls you in and gives you more of an hour glass appearance. It makes your waist look much smaller. Also, there is strong piping and a built in corset that holds you in and doesn't show any bulges or lumps. It is Super comfortable. The belt part of the beading is a part that differentiates this custom Stephen Yearick dress from most of the others you will see for sale. The beading and detailed stitch work is very intricate. The stitching is a silver/bronze color. It matches with gold and silver accessories or accents.
The theme of the wedding was vintage glam. I wanted to the dress to look classy and glamourous but have a nice Vintage 1920's / Great Gatsby/ Art Deco feel.
One other thing to note is that this dress would actually be a great bargain. The original price of the dress is very high, but the resale market is great. With the fittings and adjustments, plus built in corset, I paid over $6000. You can wear this dress and sell it again here and get back much of your money.
