Nicole Miller PRODUCT ID 3179/SKU DI0014 Wedding Dress

From the Nicole Miller site: THIS FITTED SLEEVELESS GOWN IS MADE OF ANTIQUE WHITE CREPE DE CHINE, A SOFT STRETCH SILK FABRIC. THE SQUARE NECKLINE, FISHTAIL TRAIN, AND CUTOUT BACK ARE COMBINED WITH SCALLOPED LACE STRAPS AND SIDE RUCHING FOR AN OVERALL LUXURIOUSLY MODERN ROMANTIC LOOK.

  • LOOP AND BUTTON CLOSURES AT THE TOP BACK WITH AN OPEN BACK BELOW.
  • APPROX. 63" FROM SHOULDER TO HEM.
  • FULLY LINED.
  • SILK/SPANDEX.
  • DRY CLEAN.
  • DOMESTIC.

I found this dress unbelievably comfortable, thanks to the stretch, and felt really beautiful and chic in it! I wore it for a mostly indoor wedding (the reception and cocktail hour were outside), so the hem has a few faint stains and a little pilling, but unless your as tall as I am (and are planning to wear 4-inch heels, like I did), you'll probably have to remove a few inches from the bottom anyway.

Category: Simple wedding dresses

Dress Alterations

I had the neckline changed from square to sweetheart. I had a single button (covered with extra material from the hem) sewn on for a simple bustle, and I had the dress hemmed and taken in. I lost about 5 to 10 pounds after buying it, so after the alterations, it's probably more of a label size 2/street size 0 (but with quite a bit of give, so it doesn't feel constricting at all).

Dry Cleaning/Preservation

Dry cleaned and hung from a garment rack. It will probably need to be steamed just to remove some wrinkles, which is what I had done to it the week before the wedding (it was about $50).
