The dress was ordered a bit large and taken in. I have included the label size on the dress, but Jenny Packham is a British designer, and so it's hard to judge based on the label size. Jenny Packham is a British designer, so the sizing is based not only on bridal sizing, but on UK sizing. I couldn't find a guide to Jenny Packham bridal sizing. The measurements above are also approximations. I would say the gown is the equivalent of a US street size 8 or 10. I am tiny, with an hourglass figure. I have a small waist, ribcage, and shoulders, but wear a 32D bra size and have wider hips/ a full bottom. The dress was altered for me, so if you are my size or thinner, it would fit you well. It is one of those rare dresses that looks good on both very thin body types and curvy (but fit) body types, because the bias cut dress skims and flatters your natural body type. I've included photos of several brides in this dress (some are in the Platinum color- I am selling the white), so you can see how flattering the dress is on various body types and brides. I have taken incredible care of this dress and it is in IMMACULATE condition- but in the interest of 100% full disclosure, a few of the beads along the very bottom of the over-dress were crushed. You can't even see this if you are standing next to the bride looking down, only if you hold the dress up to your face is it noticeable. I think this is inevitable since this dress is so incredibly delicate, and will probably happen to any bride before they even arrive at the altar, but if you want the dress absolutely perfect, this is also an easy fix, just have a tailor cut the bottom 1/2" of the tulle over-dress off and it will be like brand new! The height of the purchasing bride is important then. The bride should be just a bit shorter than my height of 5'3" or wearing heels shorter than 3". I was just about 5'6" with my heels, and that is the height that the dress is altered for. The slip dress is in excellent condition, and has adjustable straps.

The retail price was $4800, plus tax and alterations it came in at over $5000, but I am asking $4000, and willing to include my chapel length veil, which is an additional cost. You will save over $1000. I am looking to get full asking price for the dress, but if you purchase it at that price, I will include my veil, which is a lovely, neutral style, long, chapel length veil, free of charge, as a bonus. I bought this at an upscale boutique in the NY Metro area. The veil has a silver-toned comb so you can put it into your hair, where ever you desire. I wore the veil for the ceremony and for post-ceremony drinks and photos, but then took it off for the cocktail hour and reception. I wore a jeweled headband all day (both with and without the veil), and wore just the headband for the reception. I would be happy to sell you the headband, as well as an absolutely gorgeous bracelet that I wore. Photos of these are available upon request.
The dress has been stored hanging in a garment bag, with the beaded overdress rolled and put in a bag (so it doesn't stretch or tear).
Jenny Packham Eden Wedding Dress
In Eden, you will be a radiant vision in white. The silk charmeuse bias cut slip glides over your curves, flattering your natural figure, and glowing through the ethereal translucent over-dress, which grasps natural light, creating a beautiful halo around you. The glass beads and crystals shimmer and illuminate against the sheer fabric. The v-neck, natural waistline, and cap sleeves are incredibly flattering, and the skirt moves beautifully when you dance or float down the aisle.
I bought the beautiful Eden dress by Jenny Packham for my June 2012 wedding. It is two pieces: a silk chameuse bias-cut slip, with a lightweight tulle sheer over-dress with glass beading and crystals intricately embroidered in a Noveau design, and featuring rose/ lotus type flowers. The cap/ flutter sleeves are very flattering to the upper arms and the v-neck allows you to either show cleavage or cover up completely, depending on how you choose to alter it. It is floor length, flows beautifully, is comfortable, features gorgeous draping, and does not need to be bustled. It is gorgeous and the rare type of dress that is cut so it is figure flattering whether you are thin, straight, or very curvy.
The craftsmanship on this dress is beyond believable. It has great exquisite vintage-y details, and a sophisticated look. A piece as timeless and elegant as this can work anywhere from a historic mansion, country club, or a garden and for winter or summer wedding. It can be styled as bohemian chic (it's similar to Kate Moss' Galliano bridal gown), vintage bride (like my own Gatsby look), or traditional, fashion forward elegance.
About the dress:
Jenny Packham’s Eden gown, was perhaps the the most publicized, praised and media- featured dress of her 2010 collection, featured in blogs and magazines including Bride, Town and Country, and Marie Claire. Synonymous with a contemporary and glamorous approach to design, Jenny Packham’s 2010 Bride collection incorporates luxurious and sensual fabrics with excellent craftsmanship and individuality. Slim lines, very feminine cuts, including low cut v-necks and pieces cut clearly on the bias (which is so figure-flattering), as well as traditional silhouettes in silks, satins, chiffons, organza and tulle create the dramatic and eminently feminine designs for which Jenny Packham is celebrated.
As always, Packham takes her inspiration from vintage style and makes enough use of beautiful and delicate details, such as a jewelling, straps, sleeves and embellishments around the bust and shoulders, that make for really special dresses. She stays away from the massive skirts thus creating a less structured bride, and maintaining the ethereal look of her previous collections.
