This dress was custom designed by Imad Ibrahim of Tres Chic Couture in Toronto. The dress was designed to best flatter the bride while sticking to a classic, elegant esthetic with a nod to mid-20th century style.
I felt absolutely gorgeous in this gown! It showed off all my best features while hiding what I wanted it to. The corset bodice also helped me feel secure and supported throughout the long day and night of the wedding.
Everything was made to measure and constructed by hand by Imad and his team. Some of my favourite details are:
- Corset bodice with criss-cross ruching and beaded lace detail - so flattering and so chic!
- Off the shoulder lace capped sleeve, connecting the lace detail on the front and back of the dress - very pretty and delicate, and my husband's fave part of the dress ;)
- Fabric covered pearl button and lace detail down the full length of the back of the dress, including the closure of the corset bodice. This detail alone added $1,000 to the cost of the dress, but it was worth it! Each button was sewn by hand and it makes the dress really unique and beautiful.
I felt amazing all day and night in this dress, and it got a great response! During pre-wedding photos outdoors, we passed a family with 2 little girls in tow. One of them excitedly pointed at me and shouted "Pwincess!" - which we thought was hilarious but also, that dress really made me look special!
I hope this dress makes you also feel and look like a magical princess on your special day!
