Love at first site. This is the first dress I tried on, and the only one I could think about after.
The Maggie Sottero Lisette in light gold has an embroidered lace bodice ornamented with Swarovski crystals, a dramatic plunging V-illusion neckline, and even delicately jeweled spaghetti straps. One of my favorite parts about this dress was the tulle skirt. I went into dress shopping thinking that tulle was the enemy, but it was perfect in every way. When my husband twirled me, I could hear everyone gasp at how pretty the skirt was. This dress is modern but traditional, elegant yet dramatic, sophisticated yet romantic which is what makes it absolutely stunning. This dress was incredibly comfortable and kept me mobile all night long, even while on the dance floor.
I honestly do not know what the tag on the dress says--but I'm a size 8 and it fit perfectly. I didn't even have to wear a bra. I also did not have to do a single alteration for fit, I only added a bustle and a little ribbon behind the front beading for comfort. I was expecting to have raw arms at the end of the day (from rubbing up against the crystaled bodice) but did not experience this AT ALL. Since wearing it October 13th, it has been professionally cleaned & preserved and is ready for action.
I truly believe that this dress deserves another day in the sun, and to make another bride feel as beautiful as I did.
