Ballgown dress with tulle/English netting bottom and fitted bodice embellished with Swarovski beading. Color is ivory/silver. Sleeveless, sweetheart lining with illusion jewel neckline. Covered buttons accent full illusion back, buttons on the back go down the entire dress to the floor. Waistline is accentuated with sleek satin band above a full skirt fashioned with court train. Dress has American-style bustle with buttons and ties that are well-hidden underneath satin band at waistline.
The dress itself is sleeveless with illusion jewel neckline and backing - the backing is lined up to bra strap, above that is illusion/sheer/beading. I had custom made cap-sleeves and front lining added for a more conservative look for a church ceremony. The front lining snaps in and can be removed if desired. When removed, the lining built into the dress itself creates a sweetheart/deep-"v" neckline. The cap-sleeves are lined and beaded to match the beading on the bodice and clip/snap on, also can be removed if desired (I wore the sleeves in the church but not at the reception). The clips/snaps are well hidden.
In the pictures of me wearing the dress you can see some with the sleeves and front lining on, and some (at the reception) without the sleeves and without the front lining. The pictures of the model wearing the dress show the dress without the custom-made cap sleeves and front lining.
The intricate beading is the best part of this dress - I am a huge fan of the Great Gatsby and wanted that 1930's beaded-type dress but preferred ballgown style dresses instead of fitted/sheath style and this was a great compromise with the beaded top and tulle bottom. The ballgown-style tulle skirt flows beautifully as you walk/dance/twirl - really makes you look and feel like a princess!
I am 5'5" and 150 lbs. No alterations were made to the dress besides taking up the length at the bottom (I wore the dress with flats). The length of the dress from the satin belt (at waistline) to the bottom of the dress is 40.5" (103 cm).
