I LOVE my wedding dress. This is a two-piece ballgown with a highly adjustable croptop, and a 5 layer tulle bottom. It is even more beautiful in person. I know everyone tells the bride she looks great on her wedding day... but I was getting some pretty unexpected superlatives from a whole slew of different people with different tastes! Including "this is the most beautiful dress I've ever seen!", from two girls that had truly gorgeous, $10,000+ dresses.
The crop top gives the ballgown a more modern twist. It's lace with delicate beading, and has cap sleeves that can be worn on the shoulders or slightly off.
I wore it so that the "separated" part sat close to my natural waist. You can't tell from the photos, but the bottom is shimmery! It looks really pretty when you move in light. My seamstress mentioned the dress could easily be turned into a one piece.
I got this dress from Designer Loft in NYC, made by Viero Bridal's in-house couture line. They only recently started making dresses, but they are big in the bridal salon industry. You can see from the model that the dress looks very different depending on how you wear it - the models wore the dress a little bigger, and thus a little lower, giving it a whole different flair =)
