This dress is beautiful. I initially wanted an a-line dress but the second I put this dress on and saw the way it gave me curves, I couldn't think of anything else. It has a more traditional feel to it than a fit-and-flair but is still very modern.
There are minor tears in the skirt where it connects to the bodice and one button will need replacing. The skirt issues are difficult to see given the volume and texture of the skirt and likley easily fixable without anyone being able to tell. The bodice is spotless and in perfect condition. There are no discoloration or stains anywhere visable on the dress (minor dingy look to the inner most layer of the skirt on the underside that is not visable unless looking up the skirt from below while on hanger).
I live in San Francisco, CA. Happy to meet in person around the Bay Area if you would like to try on the dress.
Vera Wang's description of this dress is absolutely beautiful:
The lace used in Georgina is very delicate. A base of Chantilly shadow lace acts as the canvas over which I’ve fused a bouquet of hand-cut flowers made of Alencon lace, for an added textural dimension.
The shadow lace is articulated in a very modern pattern: rather than the traditional floral design of classic Chantilly, in Georgina you’ll find a delicate, spidery, circular web that spirals out. This type of lace almost feels like tulle, with a bit of stretch, so it’s not as heavy. I find that it creates a fragility and a sleekness, as well as a little intrigue, so the bride will feel quite sexy wearing it.
For sizing reference, I am 5'7" and wore almost 5" Jimmy Choos so I was just under 6" in this dress. I wore a size 6 Elizabeth and James dress to the rehearsal dinner and a size 4 Alice + Oliva dress at the reception.
