This is a gorgeous, never worn Rime Arodaky dress purchased from The Mews of Notting Hill Boutique (specializing in French Bridal Couture) in London. The dress was custom made to my measurements at Rime Arodaky's studio in Paris and shipped to me in the United States. Bohemian in style, with a drop waist and fitted hips, the body skimming drape of the dress is accurately depicted in the photos from the Rime Arodaky Studio. The elegance of this dress is not only in the fit but in the details. Be sure to notice the delicate lace along the straps, neckline and hips. The peekaboo lace panel at the bottom of the dress adds an unexpected design element. The dress slips on overhead and is secured by 16 covered buttons with loop closures that add a traditional flair.
The fit is best suited to a smaller chested figure to achieve the desired drape (as pictured on the model). As well, the deep V in the back of the dress (while incredibly sexy) requires a backless bra or no bra at all. Based on my specific measurements, The Mews of Notting Hill suggested I order a French size 38 (US size 4-6). I typically wear a US size 6 but Rime Arodaky Gowns tend to run smaller than the label size. The French size 38 for Rime Arodaky is closer to a US size 8, which is perfect for alterations for any US size 8 or smaller.
I am completely in love with this dress but ultimately chose to wear a different dress based on the location of my wedding.
There is nothing like a French Couture Bridal Gown - bohemian sleek sophistication with a slight rock and roll edge. If you are the right bride for this dress, you can walk down the aisle draped in the dreamy aesthetic of Parisian designer, Rime Arodaky.
