I purchased this dress in early 2015 for my wedding in May 2015. It was the perfect balance of what I was looking for: a soft, whimsical look and ultra-comfortable. It was comfortable during a hot day and was more than comfortable enough to walk and dance in all night.
The top is an ivory lace/crochet and the bottom is a soft ivory/blush colored organza over tulle which could look either ivory or a light blush color depending on the lighting. The top is a fitted sweetheart neckline and then flows out from a high waist to give a beautiful silhouette.
I was initially worried that the blush would look too pink, but my concerns were quickly eliminated when I saw the dress in person and realized it was more ivory than blush. The dress comes with a matching sash for the waist, however I decided to swap it out for a beautiful beaded belt that is sized to the dress and sewn in. Sometimes you just want a little bling! The original sash is still with the dress if you choose to reverse it.
There is a slight train that bustles in the back very easily.
The dress zips up in the back (so easy!) and has a row of buttons along the outside to cover the zipper. There is a built in bra with pads to give you a little oomph where you might need it most. I never had to pull the dress up and never felt like I was spilling out.
In addition to the dress and beaded belt, I purchased a veil that sits on the back crown of your head and is affixed with a built-in comb. It is a light material that complements the dress. On the edges, it is framed by a soft lace trim that offsets the lace on the dress so that it isnt matchy-matchy. I was very picky about finding a veil that was the right look. I think that this particular one could go with just about any dress or style that you might be going for, from Vintage to Traditional
