Real Wedding | Tiffany + Brian

Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, and today’s Real Wedding is just perfect because it is truly one of the most romantic we’ve ever shared. Imagine exchanging handwritten vows in a private Parisian chapel, aglow with candlelight. And next, celebrating with a fabulous dinner for two at a renowned French restaurant. That’s how Tiffany and Brian became man & wife. Their photographer did an amazing job of capturing this wedding on film, including some lovely private moments, as well as spectacular scenery from this amazing city. Enjoy!

The ceremony

It was a private ceremony for two.   We chose to be married by a French Officiant at a private chapel in the heart of the city.  Upon our arrival, the chapel exceeded all expectations, and we felt as if this was its only purpose.  The candlelit ambiance was perfect as we shared our handwritten vows.  A harpist played as we arrived at the chapel and following the French and English ceremony, we were allowed to have our first dance as husband and wife!

The reception

We enjoyed our wedding dinner at La Perouse.  The  restaurant,  founded in 1766,  was  originally a  private mansion on the bank of the Seine River.  Later the residence was converted into a meeting place for men and their new brides who would test the authenticity of their diamond rings by scratching the mirrors hung throughout the restaurant. After dinner, Tiffany was invited into the kitchen and personally  thanked the chef for the wonderful meal he had created. Later our petite wedding cake was presented to us and tasted better than we could have imagined.  Tiffany managed to sneak the fondant wrapped cake back into the States where it is well stored for our first anniversary.

The words that best describe how Tiffany felt in her wedding dress

Simply unbelievable, this is the most amazing dress.

Why Tiffany decided to sell her wedding dress

These photos look very familiar (their vantage point and backdrops). Who was your photographer?

I have been completely stressed about my wedding and have played around with the thought of having a destination wedding. After seeing this, I am completely sold on a Paris elopement! Did you use a wedding planner? I would love any info you could give me!
