I got a lot of inquiries on the dress.  The dress is a small size and many potential buyers were concerned that it would not fit them.  The buyer and I arranged for a one-week trial.  She paid full-price for the dress plus shipping.  We agreed that she would be able to ship the dress back within one week of receiving it, in its original condition, and I would refund her the price of the dress minus a deposit for having the dress for a week.  She ended up loving the dress and it worked out well for both of us.

Your site gave the dress maximum exposure amongst an educated audience. Someone could have easily spent the same amount on a new dress from a cheap wedding chain, but your buyers recognize the value of a designer name. I liked that the site focused on preowned wedding dresses so you effectively filtered the audience I was looking for.   There were so many dresses posted, however, I wondered if my listing would really get noticed.  It did - by several people!  
    
The recommendation to use 'escrow.com' was important as both myself and the buyer didn't want to be a victim of a clever scam - losing either money or the dress.  The 'inspection period' was also a nice feature of this service - it provided time for the seller to take the dress to her tailor and confirm the dress would fit her perfectly.

This is an amazing site. I couldn't believe how many dresses were listed. There were so many different designers and a wide range in prices. I wish I had known about the site when I was looking for my dress. Any dress I could think of I could find on the site. The site was so easy to use and a great price! I have a lot of reservations about buying/selling over the internet. However, I felt like everything was safe and secure. The site even provides you with the answers to any questions you might have about buying or selling a wedding dress. Everything from the benefits of selling/buying your wedding dress to whether or not to offer a return policy. If you have a question, this site has the answer. They walk you through the entire process: creating your listing, how to price the dress or offer a return policy, responding to interested buyers, updating your listing, and once you find a buyer agreeing on all the terms and how the payment will be made. The site recommends using escrow.com. This is also another site that is well worth the fees. When you sell your wedding dress its important that you feel comfortable with the entire process. It is not only worth a lot of money, but it has a lot of significant sentimental value. I received so many emails from interested buyers. Some were willing to pay, but the sizes or measurements didn't match up. Others had the perfect measurements, but were not willing to negotiate the price. It took a lot of emails to finally find that one buyer who just seemed perfect. I felt comfortable with her from the first email I received. Her measurements were perfect and we agreed on a reasonable price. I thought it was going to be so hard for me to let go of my wedding dress, but I was actually SO EXCITED to have found someone who was just as in love with this dress as I was the day I found it at the store. I was going to be able to make another beautiful bride feel just as glamorous and special as I did on my wedding day. I felt "safe" using the website, and as a seller, I was informed of any scams regarding a potential false buyer. This is an amazing site.  The first wedding dress I bought did not look right on me when it came in.  I was so dissapointed.  I was able to sell the dress on preownedweddingdresses within a month and use that momney towards a new dress.

I think that every bride should consider passing their dress on. It just feels good knowing that my dress will see another bride down the aisle. Plus, what the heck am I going to do with a large, heavy garment bag  in my closet? And, when I have a daughter, I will want her to experience the thrill and delight of wedding dress shopping. I have kept accessories and a veil as sentiment that she, or a daughter in law may use, but since dress styles change so much, it only makes sense for someone else to benefit now from finding a gorgeous dress for a fraction of the price. My experience with Preownedweddingdresses.com was stellar! In about two weeks I had almost 2,000 hits on my dress and got so excited every time I got a personalized email to my inbox saying "you have an inquiry!" I also loved that there was a name attached to the email - I felt confident that if I ever needed help or customer service that Josie was just a phone call away.  It also felt good to know that the company has their finger on the pulse of scammers.  In the short time I had my dress online to sell, I would sometimes even browse their other dresses just for fun - I couldn't believe the plethora of amazing designer gowns.  I have recommended this site to two other recently engaged friends! (I had tried consigning my dress before posting it on this site and I never even heard a pip from the store owner - until several months later when she asked me to please come pick up the dress because it hadn't sold!) If you want to sell your dress quickly, for a small $25 fee, this is the place!!

The website was more popular than I had known.  I never heard of it and actually came across it trying to find a picture of the new dress I bought.  In turn I posted my 1st dress and received inquiries about once a week.  Some of the questions were repeative; but it was nice to know people were interested.  Josie also let me know when a question was spam, that was a very nice feature.  I may sell my other dress on here, just need to convince myself:)

It was really convenient and safe to put the ads on the site. For a fixed fee, it the site is convenience and you know how much you will get and don't have to guess how much commission is going to be. The site is great for regular people who are not vendors or stores, but just want to sell the dress as a one time deal.
