PreOwnedWeddingDresses.com was created in 2004 after its founder, Josie Daga, unsuccessfully tried to sell her own designer wedding dress through existing methods.

After using eBay, message boards, and a consignment shop, she decided to create a better way to buy and sell new and used designer wedding gowns. "Better" essentially means easier for buyers and easier and more profitable for sellers.
