** This listing is for the Pronovias Draminia's main dress AND the cathedral length overskirt. You will stand out in this unique but also classic style!
Hello, and congratulations, future bride! I knew I wanted to wear an A-line dress, and searched a very long time to find the right one. Pronovias' Draminia 2018 is the dress I was looking for. I received so many compliments about my gown, and felt 100% comfortable in it. It truly is a gorgeous style. Between the comfort (and lightness- the dress is not heavy at all!), unique bustline, and beauty, you can't go wrong with the Draminia, if you're looking for a classic dress. The royal satin dress comes with a cathedral length overskirt, so that you can have that elaborate look, without needing to bother with a bustle. For you pocket lovers out there- the dress also happens to include pockets. If you look at Pronovias' website at the Draminia https://www.pronovias.com/wedding-dress-princess-off-the-shoulder-draminia-61160, you'll see a bow on the overskirt. I had that removed, as a bow is not my style. My seamstress also removed enough of the train on the main dress so that I could dance freely without needing a bustle (AMAZING). Otherwise, the dress is structurally unchanged. (You can get a clear view of the dress in its final form after my alterations in the photos attached to his listing.) After my wedding day, I got the dress and overskirt professionally preserved by Islip Cleaners on Long Island-- they're known for their expert work. I asked Danny at Islip Cleaners, who both pressed my dress before the big day, and professionally preserved it, what shape the dress is in, so that I could list it properly. He said "perfect condition". I haven't opened the box, and won't open it, so that the next bride has the benefit of an untouched garment post-cleaning. That is why I will not include a return option. I know how stressful it is to invest in a wedding dress without seeing it in person, so I can empathize, but I am hoping to be able to answer any questions a potential buyer has, and to find someone who will feel comfortable making that purchase. I am 5' 3 1/2", and wore 2.5" heels (I hear that adds about 2" to someone's height). I am a size 6 in street clothes (consistently size 6 when shopping at places like Banana Republic, GAP, Ann Taylor), and my bra size is 34C. I had cups sewn into the dress (which have since been removed), which the dress handled well- I definitely didn't want to have to bother with wearing a bra under my wedding gown. The dress was altered to fit me the way you see in the photos, so if your sizes match up to those measurements and what you see, you likely won't have to spend much in alterations. I tried to include photos from all the helpful angles my photo collection includes. I only wore the overskirt in the church, so that part of the dress is only visible indoors. I tried to get other angles and views both inside and outside, so you can gain from seeing the dress in different light. I'm listing this dress for "$900, or best offer". Thank you!
P.S. I notice that "Sample" dresses often have prices that are more competitive than "Used", but for those of you who haven't yet tried on sample dresses at bridal stores and boutiques, you might not expect it, but sample dresses are often brought through the ringer and look quite worn/beat up. I tried on many dresses, as mentioned earlier, and even the stores that took the greatest pains to protect their samples (keeping all dresses in bags at all times, and only having store attendants handle the zipping, hanging, etc.) did not have gowns that held on to their originalshape/look. A brand new gown worn once is often going to look much fresher than a sample gown that has been tried on many times by people who aren't concerned about protecting the fabric.
