When you look and feel the dress the colour truly takes your breath away, the word for it really is ‘dreamy’… very subtly coloured blush pink with 7 layers of blush organza layers and the closest layer to the skin is satin which is more fitted in shape, which when the sun shines through the dress gives you a modern silhouette, with the layers of organza floating over the top and around so that you are very lightly layered by the 7 layers of fabric but do not feel weighed down.
The top part is a sweetheart neckline is a satin finish on the outside but a inbuilt bra and corset which gave a beautiful look to my décolleté area without being indecent! The dress also has a removable shoulder sash which hooks on to the satin covered buttons, wraps around the shoulders while still exposing some of your back. I lowered the back by two buttons so it scoops down and shows off your back and those shoulders nicely too. I used the sash in the church but then removed it after the ceremony for a different look and feel to the dress, effectively giving you two dresses in one. Once the evening comes there are small pieces of satin ribbon under the skirt for your bridesmaids to tie up in a bustle which lifts the back of the dress up so you have more freedom to move those dancing feet.
I am a size 32c bust, 27.5 inch waist and 5’’ 7 in heels. All the detailed sizing are listed in the dress overview which also shows the receipt but the corset and dress and can be adjusted to fit you with a dressmaker if required.
The dress was tailored to me but I am quite a standard shape as in the attached sizing, professional pictures of the dress are on the official website. This dress cost £4,440 and was worn only for one day. It has been professionally dry cleaned, is in great overall condition and is protected in its own box which is great for travelling and storing.
Le Spose di Gio has been hand-making wedding dresses since 1975, and all their dresses are still made in Italy using the finest fabrics and experienced seamstresses, you can really tell this dress is tailored by some of the best in the world.
I don’t think the photos really do it justice but hope they help! There are three really small tears in one of the layers of the organza skirt, I have spoken to a dress maker who has confirmed that these can be easily removed and would not be noticed as there are so many layers to the lace, the layers all merge around and it would still fall the same covering the areas where the holes were. I have also had the dress dry cleaned and it is protected in its box. Please ask if you would like to see more angles or have any more questions.
I would prefer the courier to be organised by the buyer but we can discuss this. I live near Guildford in Surrey and can travel within reason to meet. No returns.
