Romona Keveza Legends L6108 from the Spring 2016 collection, inspired by Hollywood legends Rita Hayworth and Dorothy Dandrige for their classical, elegant style.
This is a gorgeous couture ballgown with one-shoulder detail and unique, architectural back. The dress is high quality silk taffeta and drapes beautifully, with an organic but elevated feel to it and a luxurious thickness to the fabric. The dress is a subtle blush color with a gentle sheen that looks lovely with all kinds of skin tones, and it caught the sunlight and sunset at our outdoor barn wedding.
The gown comes with a flexible, removable hoop and a simple crinoline underskirt, which makes it regal, feminine, and twirly. The back has a slight train, so I added a three-button bustle for dancing. It could easily be removed. This gown is perfect for the bride who wants to look sophisticated, classic, and yet totally distinctive. It's an absolute blast to wear and dance in, and it has pockets!
I purchased the dress at full price in January 2016 from L’Atelier Couture salon in Minneapolis, and it was shipped from Italy and altered slightly (shortened half an inch) by a professional bridal seamstress. I spent $300 on the alterations and $150 on cleaning.
I'm selling it for an absolute steal because I have a baby on the way and need to raise a little cash for everything we'll need! This is a wonderful, lucky dress and I'd love to have it go to another happy bride.
