New, never worn, 2010 Anne Barge runway gown purchased at Kleinfelds, NYC. Anne Barge is know for quality craftsmanship and luxury details. The fabric is Italian duchess silk satin with a low lustre that is gorgeous. The lace embellishment is imported French lace. Uniquely designed, this gown reflects images of Audrey Hepburn's famous gown in "Sabrina" while still having that unique, elegant bridal feel. The full skirt folds luxuriously and has just the right amount of fullness. The chapel train creates a dramatic back view. The actual gown has been changed slightly from the one you will see on the current web site. I had Anne Barge remove the straps and change the bodice to a subtle sweetheart shape. The bodice is drop waist that is form fitting and flattering. Included with the dress is a black and ivory satin sash that can be accessorized with a dramatic brooch. Ordered in a bridal size 10 it has not been altered or hemmed. It can easily be altered to a size 6 - 8 and can be hemmed to fit height ranges of 5' - 5'9". This is a true off-white color that works with either a white or ivory veil. Pictures show a white veil being worn with the gown. What I love about this inspiring gown is the abundant possibilities in regard to your wedding color palette. It works with an array of color schemes and is suited for every season.
