About the gown: Catch-your-breath classic. Stunning in its simplicity. Think Caroline Kennedy, if you will. Bias-cut, fine silk that drapes flawlessly. No beading. Distinction is in the tailoring alone, allowing your imagination to run wild with accessories or veil. Also makes for an ideal evening gown for any affair. Perhaps even dyeable. Seaming so impeccable throughout, could actually be worn inside out. Literally (with some creative regard to the label). One might prefer this option based on your preference for either mat or shine silk. Slight train to vary with one's height. About sizing: Purchased at Monique Lhuillier's flagship boutique in Beverly Hills at one of her earlier sample sales. When inquired as to why no size appears under her label, was informed that such is not entirely unusual for samples. However, the boutique easily estimated the gown to be an approximate size six. In addition, due to the sumptuous draping, should be a viable consideration for smaller sizes as minimal alterations should be required. Mannequin was about size 2, 6 feet. About pics: Wanted to capture the gown in natural light so one may note the sidewalk. Trying to puddle the train in one of the pics though it may appear to touch the asphalt. Please be not alarmed. There is a careful cloud of plastic just beneath. Am too finicky (especially after such a professional cleaning) to allow the gown to touch the ground. No gown hem...nor furry, little creatures were harmed during the filming of this photo shoot. Speaking of photo shoots, it was either worn in one or down the runway, hence, the cleaning at a highly reputable cleaners in Westwood, CA. Thank you for perusing.
