Dress Description:

I bought this gorgeous Alvina Valenta Couture Collection dress at a high end bridal boutique in Austin, Texas for my wedding in May 2009. It has so many wonderful details and a beautiful lace edging. The label says size 10 but I had it taken in to fit me, street size 4. I am 5'2" and wore high 4" heels, the dress was taken up to skim the ground at that height. My seamstress also took up the train a bit so it is not as long as it was originally. It just sweeps the ground a few inches in the back. I have included photos from the side so you can get an idea of the length of the train. I have performed a thorough inspection for damage and here are my findings. There is a little section (about 4 inches) by the zipper where the lining came loose from the dress, which must have happened when I was changing out of it. This can be easily repaired by a seamstress. There is also a small tear in the lace on the skirt, near the back, that is only noticeable if you are right up to the lace with your fingers on the other side. It must have been caused by someone's stiletto. It is not noticeable at all, but could also be easily repaired. That is the only damage to the dress that I see. I have had the dress professionally dry cleaned and consider it ready to wear again!
