Dress Details

This is a gorgeous Anne Barge Wedding dress! The dress was tagged with an original price of $5030 and has JUST been freshly dry-cleaned by me. Unfortunately, the dry cleaner must have removed that tag. Sorry. The style is a classic A-line and as you would expect with a high end gown, the structure is phenomenal! I'm a 34D and wouldn't have to wear a bra underneath this! Under the bust, it comes up to a slight inverted V and there is boning in the cups themselves. Under the bust is more boning and the waist dips in front and back to another slight V. This is a timeless design. It does have a light crinoline underneath for some more structure that's not over the top. It is a size 10 that has been altered to what I would call a size 6. In the picture I am 5'2" and 125 lbs but am standing on a platform that is 8-10 inches tall. So, I expect this would fit someone up to 5'10" with heels. My bust is 34D, my waist is around 27", and my hips around 37", however this dress is a little big -- I had to take a deep breath to expand my ribs to keep the dress from sliding down. Wedding dresses are tough to measure but I would call this 34-35" bust, 28" waist and 38" hip. The fact that it was a little big is why the front isn't laying flat. It has a slight sweep train - its probably 14" longer in the back than front. This dress is in fantastic condition! It has been freshly drycleaned (7-10-09). Even the bottom that dragged on the floor cleaned right up. The one 'flaw' is that at one time there had been a bow on the back that is no longer there. If you look close you can see two areas on the sides of the back zipper where that bow used to be attached. I think there had been a couple of little clips that had been sewn on to hold the bow and now the clips are removed. I tried to capture it in the photo of the back zipper.
