Old world Hollywood glamour! One of a kind "Barbara" from Badgley Mischka's Spring 2007 collection, purchased from the Mark Ingram Salon (NYC) in May 2008. This dress exudes elegance and class. My guests are still complimenting me on how gorgeous it is, and how perfectly it fit! And its extremely comfortable to boot! The gown is fit and flare (trumpet), and made of gorgeous light ivory (Pearl) silk satin. It flares at the knee creating a beautiful chapel train in back. All around the waist and at the top of the train, there is amazing beadwork that sparkles wonderfully under lighting and in the sun. Also, there are silk-covered buttons (working) that run down the back of the dress to the top of the train. The dress has a 9-point bustle (easy to work with ties on underside of dress) that turns the dress into a TOTALLY new look for dancing. In fact, it was the bustle that convinced me to buy the dress. The bustle ties are strong, and held up an entire night through dancing! The dress has been professionally cleaned and preserved by J. Scheer & Co. and has been restored to virtually new condition! - DRESS ALTERATIONS
- I had the neckline specially altered to be a soft sweetheart neckline, so you're really getting a one of a kind dress. Aside from that and the length, there were very few changes made to the size of the dress.
- VEIL / HEADPIECE DESCRIPTION
- Custom-made 2-tier ivory veil perfect for this dress. Beautiful sparkling swarovski crystals throughout. The short layer when lifted stops at the upper back (and doesn't cover the dress detailing) and is removable. Additionally, the crystals are on both sides of this layer. The long layer is chapel length, just longer than the train. This was only worn for 30 minutes during my ceremony.
