Dress Description:

This is a gorgeous Pronovias gown of light ivory silk doupioni. The strapless bodice is pleated and gathered (ruched?) all the way to the asymmetrical waist. A flower is perched on the left hip and it has a single ruffle along the hem. The skirt flares down very gently from the waist - it is not huge and poufy. Pronovias listed this dress as ivory but it's more like a soft white. It's between white and ivory. (I had purchased ivory shoes on line but they were too dark.) The dress is in great shape and has been professionally cleaned, pressed, and stored in a special box. It has a medium length train. I had the hem altered to my height of 5'8" and I wore flats. I had a french bustle, but someone stepped on it during the reception and the bustle stitching underneath the dress broke. It did not tear the dress at all and is not visible. I did not fix the bustle as I figured the buyer would want to tailor it to her height or do a different type of bustle. The dress is beautiful, lightweight and very comfortable. I wore it for approximately 8 hours. There are no spills or stains. It is simple and beautiful. The flower and the ruffle really give it a unique touch. The pleating and gathering on the bodice and waist are very slimming and figure flattering. I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this dress and would wear it every day if I wouldn't look so ridiculous doing so. It breaks my heart to sell it but it does me no good just sitting in a box. I know you'll enjoy it as much as I did.
