I am blessed to have a dear friend who is an exceedingly talented designer and seamstress, so when she offered to make me a custom gown, I went for it. Since she is a costumer for the film and television industry, she really understood the tight deadline we were under. She also had access to the best fabric houses and materials at her discount and had a great team of assistants. She only charged me $4K for labor and materials, which had I gone to any other dressmaker, I'd have been charged more than double. I love stripes and clean lines, yet wanted to feel feminine, sexy, modern and classic all at once. This dress absolutely represents all of those qualities in its design.
