Dress Description:
I bought this dress at Saks Fifth Avenue in Manhattan. This is a Duchess Satin strapless gown with a fitted bodice. The A-line skirt flows into a chapel train and is accentuated by a gown-length custom taffeta champagne colored sash (that is knotted for the ceremony and can be formed into a beautiful bustle for the reception). My dress has been worn once during my wedding in October 2004 and was immediately dry-cleaned and preserved. The dress does have the typical wear signs (a faint fabric pull on the lower bottom of the bodice near the sash and believe me, with this dress on, NOONE will notice) one would expect from a duchess satin used wedding gown, however, considering the BEAUTIFUL and TIMELESS color combination and design of this dress, and the price, you can't go wrong. There were no height alterations as I am nearly 5'7" and wore only kitten heels. It is an Amsale Size 8 and it was slightly altered to fit me at the time: I was a size 2/4. The veil was purchased at a bridal boutique on 5th Avenue . It is an ivory satin ribboned trimmed organza cathedral length veil. It attaches to the back of the hair with a comb clip and does not have a front face portion. It looks very elegant flowing along the back of the dress and sash.
