Dress Details
If you are tall and slender, but “flat” on top and wider in the hips, this dress will be perfect for you. It is very elegant, yet very comfortable to walk in and move around in. I wore it outside and on top of a mountain! Henry Roth description: “Shimmering crystal sheath beaded with an overlay of Swarovski crystal and pearls over matte satin. The neckline has a slight dip with a scoop back caressed by sparkling crossover beaded straps.” The bodice on this form fitting dress has boning so and sits up by itself so the crystal straps are not holding up the weight of the dress. The dress label is a size 8, but I had it professionally altered to “take in” the top a bit since I am a 32(A) bra size. I wore a padded bustier under the dress, but you could easily add cups. The dress has a small train which was bustled after the ceremony via a small hook. The detailing and shimmering Swarovski crystals and pearls were beautiful in the outdoor light…making the dress elegant, yet it was so comfortable to wear the entire afternoon. The beaded overlay fabric resists wrinkles- A good choice if you are traveling with the dress! The back of the dress has crossover straps, and a row of covered fabric buttons that go halfway down below waist. Zipper is covered by the buttons. Dress is very easy to get into with no fuss. I dressed myself in 10 minutes! I had the dress cleaned and preserved – now in an archival box with acid-free tissue.
