Hello Brides! I am selling this sexy and stunning dress made by Monique Lhuillier. The style name is "Amelie," and this dress was made for Monique Lhuillier's Fall 2007 collection. This style is still in stores, and this specific dress came from the Manhasset Wedding Salon in New York.

I wore this dress once at my wedding in August 2008 in New York City. It was purchased in September 2007 and arrived in the bridal salon in June 2008. I bought it with the intention of reselling it, so I was very careful with it all night. It has no stains of any kind, but I sent it to be professionally cleaned just to be sure it's perfect in every way. I made some alterations to the dress. First, it has a beautiful English bustle. Second, I removed the bow in the center of dress (you can see what the original bow looked like on the photo of the model). Third, I took the waist in by 1 inch. Fourth, on the day of the wedding, I purposely cut the undermost layer (which was under one layer of lace, two layers of silk charmeuse and all the layers of tuile) because I was afraid to trip. I have since repaired it. You cannot see it at all since it is under all these layers, but I thought I would mention it just for completeness.

All of the photos here are of the dress after some of this under-layer was cut, but it's not visible at all. It's a gorgeous dress, and I received compliments all night on the luxuriousness of the fabric as well as the shape. Having just received the photos, I feel that it was amazing to have such a show-stopping dress!

Veil/Headpiece Description:

I am including my ivory Vera Wang two-tier cathedral length veil. Since the dress is so ornate, this clean, crisp veil felt like the perfect complement.
