Dress Description:

Classic Henry Roth satin gown with beaded overlay. Strapless A-line shape is flattering to almost any figure! Strapless bodice has boning and sits up by itself, I didn't tug at the top the whole day. Glass beading sits on top of sheer lace fabric and is bordered at the top and bottom with an additional lace border so it is easy to hem and still have a lace border. The beading sparkles like mad, especially in sunlight. Another piece of lace sits at the natural waist under fabric ribbon. Back of the dress dips slightly and has a long row of covered fabric buttons all the way down the dress. Zipper is covered by buttons, hooks keep the zipper hidden. Back of the dress has substantial sweep train- something I never thought I wanted but loved! Design is timeless and fabrics are high quality. Fabric resists wrinkles- with the sheer layer over the top, I never had to have the dress pressed! Bought the size 10 dress in June 2007 and wore it in May 2008. I wear a size 6 petite typically, and my chest is 34C. I wore a VS bustier under the dress, but you could easily add cups. I am 5'1" and had it hemmed for 3-inch ceremony shoes. I had a simple 3-point bustle added. For the reception, I changed to 4-inch shoes so the bottom of the dress would not be on the ground. After the wedding, I had the dress cleaned. It is in a giant archival box with acid-free tissue. There is some wear to the dress from my wedding- there is a brown 1/2 cm spot on the inside hem and 5 beads have fallen off, though I can't find where they were from. Veil/Headpiece Description:

If you buy the dress and like the veil, you are more than welcome to have it too! It's a simple elbow-length diamond white single tier of fine tulle that's triple-gathered and attached to a comb. I replaced it with a fresh gardenia on one side at the reception.
