Dress Description:

This Carolina Herrera dress is architectural in design. It is a ball gown style, strapless dress that is incredibly flattering. The fabric is silk mikado, which lends itself to the crisp creases that are then top-stiched the length of the gown, with box pleats around the full skirt. The design is deceptively simple and very elegant. The color is considered white, but is a true white, not a diamond white. It looks fantastic in sunlight. This dress was ordered in the wrong size (12) and was supposed to be taken down to a street size of 8, but it was actually taken down to a street size 6. I am 5'8" but I wore 4 inch heels, so it's pretty long. As for other alterations, the train has been removed, so it slightly touches the ground all around and a little more in back. Since I had so much fabric, I had pockets added for fun, and they fall in the pleat, so they are completely hidden. This dress has had a foundation garment added as well, which hooks on the side, underneath the side zipper. I'd be happy to answer any questions that you have or send you more pictures.
