Dress Description:

Carolina Herrera Couture. Style 34304. Size 8. Elegant and classic. Strapless creamy white and champagne silk. A-line skirt. There is a delicate champagne colored sash that crosses in the front and ties in the back, flowing down the length of the dress. It is a timeless design; truly, an heirloom quality dress. The style is simple, with no lace or beading or adornment except for the sash, but the fabric is exquisite and the cut and craftsmanship are sublime. MEASUREMENTS: bust 32.5”; waist 30”; the bride, 5’8” tall, wore 2.5” heels for the ceremony. The dress cost $4500, was worn once, then taken to a professional cleaner and hermetically sealed. I have broken the seal so that I could examine and photograph the wear on the dress. It has been carefully repacked and boxed. It has always been stored in a non-smoking home. The silk veil (pictured) is included. DESCRIPTION OF WEAR: The ceremony and reception were both outdoors. There are two small stains at the bottom of the sash, measuring about 2 cm each. There is one very light stain at the hemline on the outside; honestly, it is difficult to see if you aren’t looking for it. Most of the wear is at the hemline, underneath (inside) the dress and on the hemline, underneath (inside) of the slip, which is beneath the netted petticoat.
