Dress Description:

The Marisa (style 644) dress is the quintessential wedding gown!! Reminiscent of the glamorous Whirlwind dress, this gown is just as lovely, made with the finest silk and much more affordable. If you want your dress to be the focal point of your wedding, then this is the dress for you! The gown is beautiful, elegant, simple and yet fascinating to marvel at, not to mention it was so much fun to wear! It has just enough volume to make it feel substantial without weighing you down or making you feel foolish. The dress looked stunning on (check out photos!) and I just love the pick ups and French bustle on the back. The neckline and silhouette are flattering to any figure and the white-diamond silk is the perfect color white -- not too white and not too ivory, just the right in-between color. The dress was used for merely 5 hours during my mainly in-doors wedding so the condition is great and as good as new!! I just had it professionally dry-cleaned for $250 and stored in a box. Important suggestion for those girls who are shorter than 5'8": you can always hem the dress an inch or so and make it brand-spanking new and fit your height with shoes. I wore a Le Mystere bustier bra under the dress but you can always wear a simply strapless or push-up bra too. I bought this dress at Kleinfelds, a very upscale bridal boutique in Manhattan.

Veil/Headpiece Description:

I also bought and wore a lovely Malis-Henderson (style V690X) cascading veil with a thin, matching silk trim. The veil has a blusher attached to it, which is convenient if you plan to have a traditional ceremony. ( Tip: Be wary of buying a veil AND a separate blusher -- they usually don't hold well. ) The veil comes down to my waist and was just perfect with the gown. I paid $300 for the veil but I would be more than happy to give it to the person who buys the gown at no cost.
