Dress Description:

This dress sells for around $3500 new. I purchased it used but in absolutely perfect condition, wore it on my wedding day, then had it professionally cleaned and preserved. It is in outstanding condition and is still available new from the designer. Adele Wechsler is known for creating alternative, flowing, romantic dresses made with exquisite materials. Her dresses are rare and are seldom found used. I saw this dress and had to have it and no other, but could only justify the price by agreeing with myself to sell it after the wedding. It pains me to do so, because it is an amazing dress. The dress has an understated but powerful elegance. It is covered with flowing silk organza and has structured organza silk lillies that are visible through the outer layer of organza. It is a light ivory color (not yellowy) and has a flat silky look - not shiney at all. It has a very short train with both the underdress and the organza, both of which can be bustled. The label does not reveal its size. The original owner told me it was a small. I wear a size 6-8 in dresses, and have a size 36 chest. I had it taken out for the wedding because the rib cage area under the breasts was a little tight. Your seamstress could easily take it back in if needed. I have a size B breasts and wore a stick-on bra the day of the wedding to help fill the cups and it was perfect. I am 5'6" and I wore low-heeled sandals and had the dress taken up just a bit. The dress is A-line so the hips are not accentuated and should not be an issue. There are two very small (less than 1/16 inch) pulls on the edge of the organza train (the part that drags behind you on the ground). These are invisible unless you inspect closely. There is also a very small pull where the bustle snap attaches to the organza train. Again, this is invisible unless you inspect closely. These are the only imperfections in the dress.
