Dress Description:

Three words that best describe this dress...“simple, elegant, and comfortable.” The lines on the dress are very clean while the lace gave the dress the extra detail and elegance. The dress is very light since it is made of silk and has few layers -- I was comfortable all day. Description: It is an ivory strapless sheath silk gown with alencon lace detailed overlay. Although the dress is a sheath, it gently flares into a slight a-line towards the hem and has a chapel length train. It comes with an ivory silk organza sash and a flower pin. Alterations: I had the dress bodice taken in, cups added along with a 3-point bustle that ties with color coded ribbons. To maintain the original integrity of the lace detail along the torso, my seamstress meticulously removed the lace along the hem and hand sewn it back on after altering the dress to fit me instead of hemming it from the waist as recommended by the salesclerk. She also added interface to the waist portion of the sash to prevent the sash from bunching. I have not had the dress cleaned. It is in great condition with only some slight dust smudging on the hem of the underlayer (I tried to capture it in a photo but it does not show.) I have not found any other stains or flaws on the dress. The dress can be dry-cleaned for an additional charge. Feel free to email me with any questions, or if you would to see additional photos.
