Dress Details

This is a stunning ivory couture wedding gown designed by the highly coveted Jenny Lee. The top layer of the gown is fine French alencon lace. The second layer is the softest, most scrumptious silk. It feels absolutely delicious against your skin. It is a mermaid style - fitted to just below the hips and then gently flows down. There is a scalloped sweep train with a lovely detail - the center of the train is split allowing the lovely ivory silk underlayer to tumble through (hard to explain, but breathtaking). If you've seen this dress in person, then you know how beautiful it is. I received so many compliments on this gown, and you will, too! It was originally strapless, but I had them sew in matching silk spaghetti straps (which can easily be removed). The measurements are as follows: bust - 34B (I had cups put in, remove them and it should be able to accomodate up to a "C" bust); waist - 27.5"; hips - 35.5". Bear in mind that it was not tight at all, and should be able to be let out a bit. I am 5'5.5" and wore 3.5" heels; it was hemmed for a total height of 5'9". I wore this for six hours on my wedding day (May 26, 2007). It has been dry cleaned. To view this dress on the designer's website, please go to the following link: http://www.jennyleebridal.com/root.html (it is style #510 under the "Timeless Collection 2" link). This dress is seriously hard, if not impossible, to find at a bargain (I tried!). I paid $4150 (not including alterations and dry cleaning). Also note that there are only good memories associated with the dress. We just celebrated our first anniversary, and are expecting our first child (a healthy girl)! We are only selling the dress to help with baby expenses. If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to ask!
