Dress Description:

This is an original never worn Alvina Valenta gown (part of the 2007-2008 collection at alvinavalenta.com) which cannot be found on most online websites, trust me, I looked. I chose this gorgeous gown after trying on nearly 40 dresses and being dissatisfied with the quality of the fabric. The fabric on this beautiful fit and flare gown is of superb silk duchess satin in ivory and feels exquisite. I was opposed to wearing a strapless gown because I did not want to be pulling my dress up the entire evening so, I opted for the slight beaded spaghetti straps and a soft cowl neckline which is accented with a removable brooch and a deep "V" back. The deep V back is sexy but not over the top. The Satin ribbon, can be changed, and trims the empire waist leading to a bow and streamers down the center back and to a beautiful chapel train. The length has not been altered or hemmed and was quite large on my small frame, I’m 5’4” so depending on your height/built, it might need to be hemmed. There are also 1” seams on each side if needed to be let out. The dress also has built in cups and even the petticoat is exquisitely sewn with lace. Unfortunately, instead of a wedding on the East Coast, we have decided to elope in Mexico in July and my gorgeous dress was too elegant for a beach setting. And, though I’d love to keep it, my fiancée would like me to sell it. And, I would like someone else to enjoy this dress as it is absolutely beautiful.
