Dress Description:

This dress has everything you could want for a classic wedding dress look. It is rich and elegant, but also sweet and youthful. It flatters a small waist. Made of silk satin, it has real seed pearls sewn into the intricate lace pattern. There are four pleats around the waistline and buttons down the back. The dress has a v-back and lace on the semi-cathedral train that shows down the back of the dress when bustled. Purchased at Blush Bridal Boutique in Gainesville, Virginia in September of 2007, it is an authentic Justin Alexander with tags. I wore it once for my wedding in December of 2007. The dress is also very versatile. It comes with a pink band and brooch to be worn around the waist. I wore the dress without the band for my ceremony, and then I wore the band for the reception. You may also opt to have a band that matches the color of your bridesmaids’ dresses. The dress comes strapless, but it does have a place where straps can be attached on the bodice. I wore it with straps for the ceremony. The bodice has special fasteners on the inside to keep the dress snug, even for a petite person like me who usually can’t get away with wearing a strapless dress! Alterations: I had my seamstress hem the bottom and use the extra fabric to make 5 buttons to sew on for the bustle that match the buttons down the back of the dress. Some of the loops broke during the conga line, but this is very easy to mend. She also put several adjustable hooks and eyes in the pink band.
