I bought the beautiful Carolina Herrara Bottecelli dress at Saks 5th Avenue.  It is silk jersey, cut beautifully, with an internal corset which makes you stand and hold yourself soooo elegantly.  I move in it like a ballerina (and I am a klutz).  It is elegant, with gorgeous draping.   The craftsmanship on this dress is beyond believable.   It is silk jersey, with a beautiful train (that can later be bustled for dancing) with a duchess satin ribbon belt, soft gathering over the bust, a v neck with duchess satin ribbon straps, that continue across the bodice.  It is gorgeous and the rare type of dress that is cut so it is figure flattering whether you are thin, straight, or very curvy.  The silk jersey is very flowing and forgiving.  It is that simple perfect classic gown that does a lot for you, but doesn't upstage YOU.  It highlights your beauty.

That's why I bought it.  But I was already in love with another dress.  I finally had to buy that dress, so I am now selling the Carolina Herrara dress.

It has great architectural details, and has a clean, sophisticated look.  It can suit any wedding style; it's all about how you choose to accesorize it and wear your hair.

The retail price was $4000, but I am asking $1700 considering all reasonable offers. 

I have included the label size on the dress, and I think Carolina Herrara labels fairly close to American street size.  The measurements are approximations, though.  I couldn't find a guide to Carolina Herrara bridal sizing.  Two other girls, one smaller and one larger than I, tried on the gown- one was a petite size 12 and it fit her very well, and the other was size 6 and it fit her, though it was a little loose in the bust.  It looked completely different, but great on both of them!  I would say, allowing for alterations, this dress would fit between a size 6 and 10/12, American size.  It is quite long, so unless you are very tall, it will likely need hemming.

About the dress:
In this collection, Carolina Herrara took inspiration from famous artists.  The Botticelli dress, with it's Grecian goddess lines, refers to the nymphs and goddesses in Botticelli's classic paintings.  In this dress, you'll be a vision in white, whether floating down the aisle of a city loft, grand cathedral, or letting your hair blow softly in the breeze in a garden or surfside at your beach wedding.
