- DRESS DETAILS
-
Gown appears in excellent condition and has been professionally preserved. There are a few edges of the ruffles of the skirt that have darkened but it is not almost noticeable. I do not have pictures as it was preserved immediately but I did look at it after they cleaned it and it was hardly noticeable (you have to actually look very carefully to find the 2 or 3 ruffle edges).
I'm not sure what the label size is as I never looked at the dress for a label size as the gown was custom made. I am not even sure if there is a label size. There is a label of the designer but not sure again if there is a label size. But for your reference I am typially a size 0-2.
The bodice is sheer and is embellished with genuine Swarovski crystals
Over Bust: 33.5
Bust: 34.5
Side Shoulder to Apex: 9.5”
Rib Cage: 27”
Torso: 14” (2” longer all around so that the bodice could be lower)
Waist: 25.75
High Hip: 32.5
Low Hip: 36
Floor Length: 49" total
Skirt: Silk Satin Organza Ruffles & Feathers with scattered tear drop Swarovski Crystals
French Bustle
Padded cups were added to the gown to provide a "Push Up" look
The dress was completely custom made there is no dress like this one. I worked with the designer Ines Di Santo to have this unbelievable DREAM dress... I designed the gown and the designer made it come true. I am not keeping it because it is so beautiful and I want to share my creation with other women who seek that ONE-OF-A-KIND dress for their wedding! It would be a shame to keep the gown in a box stored away.
The dress was purchased in NYC on a Fifth Avenue Salon. I was the one who purchased the dress and the only bride to ever where this dress.
My height is 5'7" and I wore 6.5-7" Yves Saint Laurent (Tribute) heels with the gown.Gown was preserved at Prestige Preservation in Farmingdale, NY. I searched very carefully for the right place to preserve my gown which will soon be yours!
The dress was hand cleaned as the gown had to be treated with the utmost care and the cost for preserving the gown was 700+!
Below explains the MuseumStyle Heirloom Preservation System from Prestige Preservation.
1. Thorough Inspection:
Inspections are completed through every stage of the process, enabling the preservation professionals to identify and remove spots and stains.
2. Expert Cleaning:
In preparation for long-term storage, a specialist establishes the most suitable method of cleaning for the cherished garment.
3. Proper Storage
The exclusive storage box is acid-free, moisture and oxygen controlled. This will protect it from yellowing.
4.Moisture and Oxygen Control
Oxygen is purged from the sealed box and replaced with an inert gas, reducing the discoloring effects of oxidation. Agents are sealed with the keepsake garment to prevent mold and mildew.
5. Sealed Environment
Each exclusive storage box is encased with a clear seal that protects the keepsake from airborne contaminants, insect and pest damage.
6. Acid Free Packaging
Interior surfaces and packaging tissue are made of acid-free materials. This ensures the color-fastness of our keepsake garments.I do have the original receipts but I have to locate them as I had several since I would pay after every fitting. I had about 4 because my gown was custom made. Thus, I have about 6-8 receipts (including the veil). I have misplaced them because I was not living with my husband until we got married (I’m traditional). So I have to find where I put them. I cannot guarantee that I will be able to locate them but I will continue to look for them!
If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to me. What I will say is that the gown is perfection. If you are familiar with Swarovski crystals then you are aware how brilliant their crystals are. Imagine a bodice full of Swarovski crystals and a skirt with hints of crystals. The images really don’t reveal how beautiful and brilliant the crystals appear but I did put a darker picture so that you can see better how BLING the gown is!
I hope you love the gown as much as I did.
FYI – I am a Fashion Student at FIT and I was looking for only but the best. I went to every Bridal Store out there and no designer matched Ines Di Santo (for the look I was going for) not even Pnina Tornai! - DRESS ALTERATIONS
- Please refer to Dress Description as the gown was custom made. Just though I would share the below because I have had several inquiries about the following. I understand that there is a Ines gown with a similar bodice listed. However, if you can see the bodice of dress in that listing is not as long as mine - I extended it 2.5" longer from the original pattern - thus it raises the price because there is more fabric, more crystals and the designer had to make changes to the original pattern. I also made changes to the back of the bodice which was originally a straight back and I designed it to a deep Y back for a sexier look. I also added push up pads to the bodice and did other minor changes. Because of all of the changes to the pattern of the original bodice the price is significantly raised. Ines Di Santo and I collaboratively created my gown based on my vision and design. We used the corset bodice of an original gown of the designer but made significant changes to the pattern with respect to design. Additionally, the skirt of the dress was completely re-designed to silk satin organza ruffles with feathers and strategically placed hand sewn Swarovski crystals. Again significantly raising the price because now the skirt has hand sewn crystals/ruffles/feathers and the designer had to create a brand new skirt/pattern just for me because this is the look I wanted. The other Ines gown is a slightly similar but very different. Again like I said there will be no one with this dress because it is custom made/designed by me.
- VEIL / HEADPIECE DESCRIPTION
- Included is an Off White 3 layer cathedral veil by designer Priscilla of Boston which is brand new and never was used because on my wedding day I forgot to wear my veil!! Everyone was so in love with my gown that my Bridesmaids/Make-up Artist/Bridal Attendant/Parent's forgot to remind me to wear it! It is a plain raw cathedral veil that goes perfectly with the gown as the gown has so much detail that it would have been overload to have an embellished veil.
