This dress is a classic A-line dress with modern styling, and very slimming! It's a Birnbaum and Bullock dress, designed and also altered by the designer, Robert Bullock. Gorgeous ivory alencon lace over satin, and romantic tiny buttons down the entire back. I added some extra lace at the bodice line which would be easily removed for a cleaner look, although I thought it softened the line nicely. I also added a beautiful rhinestone and crystal bustband applique, which added a bit of sparkle while keeping the dress very classy and refined. It has a chapel length train and a simple french bustle. Our first dance was a swing dance - lots of twirling! - and the bustle kept things together nicely so I could move around.

I am a street size 10 to 12, 38D-32-41, and 5'5", and dress is tailored to 5'7" as I had 2" heels. I am a curvy girl and many styles make me look heavy as a result, but this dress is magically slimming - people thought I'd lost 15-20lbs for the wedding (trust me, I hadn't).

The dress was professionally cleaned by a french cleaner specializing in wedding gowns. It's nearly spotless, with only a faint hint of discoloration at the tip of the lace on the train, in the back. It's about 1.5 cm and is completely invisible unless you are staring at the hemline from close distance. If you didn't know to look for it, you'd never see it. You may want your alterations person to recheck the bustle ties beneath the gown, but aside from that it's in perfect condition, not a spot or tear anywhere.
