$5,200 dress (before sales taxes)... Worn once. I bought it from a woman in the UK who wore it at her wedding. Unfortunately, my fiance's traditional Indian family is insisting that I wear a red and cream saree. Alas, so much for my dream dress.

Charmeuse is a high-end satin-finished silk fabric.

 

Claire Pettibone's website says,

Bust size is 32E (UK size) 32DD (US size); size 10 hips; size 8 waist. A bra has been sewed in and can easily be removed for alterations to the bust.

 

My seller disclosed the following to me:

"I've attached photos of the areas on the strap where the stones are missing. You can see there is one missing in each shot, but because of the dark colours used in the settings, its really not noticeable at all. In fact these stones were missing before our wedding- even though I had the dress made for me and got it brand new from a Pettibonestockist. I just didn't notice when I went to pick it up! Anyway, not even my Mum noticed when I showed it to her (and she can be very picky!)" She was right. I couldn't tell they were missing, except that I knew where they were supposed to be from the photos she sent me. She also disclosed to me that the dress has small slight smudges underneath on the dress lining.

The intricacy of the lace embroidery is fabulous. I notice something new every time I look at it. It's incredibly sexy without offending fundamentalist parents & grandparents. It's crazy-comfortable for hours of dancing.
