Ahh, my beloved wedding dress... As a designer, finding the perfect dress was quite the tedious task. However, when I found this dress from the Vera Wang White line- I knew I had found a winner. I love how the fitted, elegant top compliments the organic, voluminous bottom. It has structure, but also has a very ethereal, dreamlike feel to it. Details like the fabric buttons running down the side give it a vintage vibe, contrasting the modern silhouette. In short, the dress was everything I wanted. On my wedding day, I felt comfortable and secure in my dress. It is incredibly lightweight and easy to move in. With the one shoulder, I didn't have to worry about pulling the dress up throughout the day, nor did I have to worry about straps sliding down my shoulder. The only alterations made to the dress were the bustle I had added to the train (I actually wore it bustled up all day, didn't even let the train down), and I also had breast cups sewn inside the dress so that I didn't have to wear a bra (I wear a 34C). My heels were so high that I didn't even need the dress hemmed. Everywhere else fit perfect, so nothing was taken in. The dress was professionally dry cleaned after ($200! Yikes!).
