This beautiful 100% silk satin gown was purchased from Kleinfelds in NYC . It is a sophisticated, modern, fit-and-flare shape. The slightly curved neckline was very complementary to my larger bust and the ruching made my waist feel incredibly small. The v-shaped back and satin-covered buttons, which run down the length of the train, left a beautiful impression from behind. The dress is in NYC and can be shipped or picked up. One half yard of the original matching fabric from the manufacturer is included at no extra charge, which can be used to create straps, a belt, or other accessories. The sample dress is no longer available at Kleinfelds, so hurry and snag this style before it's gone.
- DRESS ALTERATIONS
- The dress was altered by Kleinfelds--the finest seamstresses in NYC. A 3-point bustle was added. The hip area was taken in to fit my 36" hips. The area underneath the derriere was also taken in for a more contured fit. The hem was taken up to fit my exact height in heels (5 feet, 6 and 3/4 inches). A few bones were removed from the bust area for a smoother look. I typically wear a 34DD, but was able to wear the dress without a bra, thanks to its excellent construction.
- VEIL / HEADPIECE DESCRIPTION
- Veil not included. But as a FREE gift, I will include a cute distressed, vintage-looking wooden "Here Comes the Bride" sign--perfect for your flowergirl, ring bearer or junior attendants to carry down the aisle or in pictures.
- PRESERVATION METHOD
- Dress was professionally dry cleaned. It has been stored in a non-smoking home. The dress is in excellent condition; however, 2 of the fabric buttons need to be replaced and a few of the buttons have light gray staining, not immediately visible.
