This gown is the Pronovias Geraldine, a lovely dress with a unique fan neckline, fitted through the bodice with a slight gather on the side. The ivory color is flattering, and the light-weight taffeta fabric is not too hot and is naturally a little crinkly. I didn't have to have the dress pressed after altering -- just hanging it up in a closet was enough to relax the fabric. The dress is also very comfortable, which I wasn't expecting with a strapless dress. It is snug without being too revealing, and the gathering at the side is very figure-flattering. The chapel train is beautiful without being over the top. The back has a zipper closure hidden by lovely material-covered buttons.
I purchased it from a bridal boutique and wore it at my wedding in May 2011. I absolutely loved wearing this dress.
- DRESS ALTERATIONS
- I bought a label size 10 at a sale and had it altered down to fit me, as I wear a street size 8. The waist and hips were taken in on the side seams, and the length was hemmed. I had thin cups put in the bust for shape, and a tie-bustle was added. The chapel train has hidden ties that correspond with ties under the skirt, so it was very easy to tie it up after the ceremony to prevent the material from dragging the ground during the reception. It could be easily altered to a smaller size.

- I mailed the to New York to be professionally cleaned, and it is now boxed up and ready for its next owner. I did not have it preserved since I planned to sell it soon, so there are no chemicals/residues.
