This is a BRAND NEW Monique Lhuillier Swan Lake purchased for $3250 USD and spent over $500 in alterations to make it into a sweetheart and add a french bustle to the back and more. It DOES NOT have the tags attached but it has NEVER been worn. I purchased it actually brand new from another bride who changed her mind so the tags had already been removed but it was in absolutely pristine condition when I received it. I had it altered as described below into a sweetheart style. The groom backed out of the wedding 3 days prior and so the dress remains completely immaculate as it has remained in the garment bag, in my office closet since May, 2010. The only marking on the entire dress is when I took it out to take pictures of it... as we were taking pics of the bottom of the tulle, a tiny, faint dot of makeup rubbed off onto the bodice on the side, below the armpit area. I have added a photo of the mark. It is the photo of the french lace and the mark is directly in the middle of the photo. The dress also includes the champagne colored sash that is seen in the snapshots. If desired, I can give you the information of the designer of the obi belt that is in the main photo.
- DRESS ALTERATIONS
- It was originally a size 8 (wedding size). The alterations on it were to take it in, shorten it, add a bustle, convert it into a sweetheart top, and to add a built in corsette and padding. The boutique that did the alterations is Casablanca Bridal & Formals, the top bridal salon in Honolulu, Hawaii and the only salon authorized to sell Monique L'huillier on the island. It is now a size 6 wedding / size 4 street. I do have the receipt for the alterations.... =/
