- DRESS DETAILS
-
Floor-length, 100% silk satin Romona Keveza wedding gown. From her 2006 runway, purchased in 2007, worn in April 2008. Empire-Natural gathered waist, halter ties fall to the floor to add to the ~1.5' train.
Think of the dress Marilyn Monroe wore in her famous NYC subway vent picture, now make it floor length - that's this dress! *Beautiful* and flatters every woman. I've got a boy-shaped figure, but this cinched waist gave me an hourglass! Fell in love with it immediately, but it's time for another bride to feel beautiful by this exquisite craftsmanship.
The first pic shown is me (slouching) ;) , the other pics are from Brides.com's archives of Keveza's '06 wedding gown runway. Hope it's ok I used them. :)
There is a *SLIGHT* ?water?stain at the foot of the gown - all that's noticeable is the "line" and that's even *impossible* to see unless you're searching for it. I can barely see it in perfect light and that's only bc I know it's there (though I don't know how it got there - I never spilt anything!) I recently had it assessed/inspected by a local wedding gown consignment shop and those two ladies didn't even notice it, I had to point it out. I promise, it's very slight. If you're shorter than me and have to hem it, it'll be gone; or if you want to hem it to cocktail length, it'll be gone; or even if you keep it as is, no-one will ever even notice. The ladies at the consignment shop said I'm asking a very fair price; I just wanted to be honest and mention it...
I promise though, the dress is gorgeous and you'll love every inch of it! You'll especially love the magic you feel when wearing it...this is "the one" for you too. :)
Thanks for looking...!
- DRESS ALTERATIONS
- The dress fit me almost perfectly straight from the designer, so not many alterations had to be done. I'm 5'7.5" and had it hemmed to hit floor-length with my ~2.5"/3" heels on. Also had 9 buttons sewn in for an optional bustle for the train.

- PRESERVATION METHOD
- Had it dry cleaned and "time capsule preserved" in a muslin bag after wearing it (20-year warranty). The gown has been hanging in my closet, always temperature-controlled and safe from humidity. The bag has only been opened once.
