Truly defines classic wedding gown. Carolina Herrera hand-made couture, from the Spring 2009 collection. Simple silhouette made gorgeous by the exquisite cut of the dress. Has beautiful white silk Mikado fabric to give it a more "summery" feel (model is in ivory satin). The back has a very reasonable "train" that can be pulled into a beautiful french bustle for the reception. The neckline was a custom "swoop" that is very subtle but adds to the feminine detailing of the dress. I purchased the dress in January of 2011 at the Ultimate Bride in downtown Chicago and wore it once (on my wedding day) in July 2011. This dress has slight wear on the bottom edge (from dancing on dance floor) but it was professionally cleaned with no marked stains. For a slightly shorter bride (I am 5'9" and wore 2" heels), they could easily have the "worn" edge taken up and it would look brand new.

DRESS ALTERATIONS
Minimal alterations - hemmed about an inch off the bottom as it was too long for me with the heels I chose to wear that day. Also, a slight raise (probably 1/4") in the natural waist line to have it fall in the right place on me. Lastly, I did order it to come in with a straight neckline and ended up having it swooped about 1/4 inch at the bust to 1/2 inch in the middle for a softer neckline.
VEIL / HEADPIECE DESCRIPTION
DRY CLEANING / PRESERVATION
The dress was professionally cleaned immediately following the wedding. Since that time, it has been covered with a plastic dress wrap and inside its original Carolina Herrera dress bag (hanging in a closet).
