This dress is a beautiful piece from the Paloma Blanca Spring 2011 collection. Style number 4111, bought new and added some alterations. This dress can be worn with modesty with the lace up back over a panel that is part of the dress, or it can be tucked in to expose a beautiful backline of skin and ribbon. Asking for $1700 since the zipper will need to be replaced, paid $3200 for it. Will include hot pink breatheable dress bag. Dress is cleaned and steamed ready for a new bride to walk her down the aisle :)
- DRESS ALTERATIONS
- Elizabeth Parks of Seattle, Washington did all of my alterations. She was voted Best of Western Washington for alterations and her work is pure perfection. Truly was an alterations angel. Elizabeth added a french bustle to the dress which allows the train to be pinned up. It is on a "hook" system instead of the traditional ties that are required for the french bustle. This gives it a cleaner look and also makes the french bustle gorgeous. "Booby" pads were sewn into the dress to add some oompfh as I am not that blessed. :D Also a belt inside the dress to help hold up the dress was installed if you decide to be modest and have your back covered. Dress can be let out to a size 6, possibly and 8. I am a size 4 and it was still a little loose. I am 5'6" and I wore this dress barefoot on the beach. Elizabeth hemmed the gown to my height, but tucked in the material so it can be let out for resale purposes. Will need the zipper replaced. On my wedding day I had some troubles zipping it up near the bottom of the dress. The Wedding Bell where I purchased the dress said it was probably an error made in factory. Needless to say getting the zipper replaced is inexpensive.
