I purchased this beautiful Jim Hjelm (style #8663) wedding gown at Kleinfeld in New York on February 19, 2011. I wore the dress on October 1, 2011, and the dress has since been professionally cleaned and preserved. The original price of the dress was $3700 ($3200 for the dress, $300 for a plus-sized gown and $200 to have the cup opened up to a D). (Note: I also paid an additional $595 for alterations, but I am not including that charge in the Price Paid or Asking Price.)
This sleeveless, v-neck gown features ivory Alencon lace over champagne charmeuse and a simple and elegant sweep train. The silhouette is a trumpet fit with a natural waist accented with champagne taffeta sash.
All photos are of me on my wedding day. The gown photographs beautifully, and really flatters the figure. I felt amazing, not to mention comfortable.
- DRESS ALTERATIONS
- All alterations were done by the alterations department at Kleinfelds, and were pretty simple, focused on bringing in the silhouette of the dress to fit my curves. They also added a simple three-button bustle and a single button at the top of the key-hole back to reinforce the closure. The length was barely altered, and it was taken up from the midline to protect the detail on the skirt.

- The gown has been cleaned and preserved by a local cleaners reputable for cleaning wedding dresses. There are no identifiable stains anywhere on the dress.
