Completely stunning and unique gown from Reem Acra Fall 2009 line. A warm "antique ivory" silk gown with intricate and dramatic emerald and diamond beading over transparent tulle on the corset top. The boned corset is ruched with the sides dropped lower on each side of the waist than the center.
The skirt has a generous layer of fine tulle over the silk which goes out on an amazing train--i think its about 4 feet. If you need to know the exact measurement and type of the train i can find out. The tulle skirt is longer than the underlayer which makes it more visible. very filmy and ethereal-looking. It was amazing with the wind blowing at my outdoor wedding.
This dress has serious old-Hollywood glamour. The way the tulle train is gathered below your bottom creates a kind of trumpet look from the back (very waist and bottom flattering) and more of an a-line look from the front. Skirt is easy to move in not too tight.
Dress is definitely one of a kind--has a classic, vintage, almost regal look to it. If you dont want to look like every other bride this is it.
I DID NOT WEAR THIS DRESS FOR MY DANCE AND RECEPTION, I TOOK IT OFF IMMEDIATLY AFTER MY CEREMONY AND PHOTO SESSION. Pristine condition.

- Has $600 worth of alterations in it. no bustle was added. Added hidden loop under skirt which allows you to hold up the skirt off the ground. Has padded A cups, removable. corset top and waist was taken in to accentuate waistline and bust for a size 4. This was done in a way specifically so that it could still be taken back out in the future if I decided to sell it (according to my seamstress). beading perfect. boning restructured around the very top so that the transparent mesh lays flat on the skin without sagging. silk skirt hemmed in the front to fit a 5'5" wearing 3" heels (hovers less than 1/2 inch off the floor in the front while walking. the train is unaltered.
