Beautiful strapless, sweetheart neckline, mermaid dress with a French bustle to shorten it during reception. Extremely light weight and flowy, and perfect for an outdoor wedding during high temperature weather (we got married in Napa Valley in September, one of the hottest months of the year).
I chose to add a bit of bling to my dress, so I chose a Swarovsky crystal & rhinestone belt that is sewn on to the waist. I have a matching bracelet, as well, for an extra cost. The dress also has a beautiful train. Overall, it is a very simple, classy, elegant dress with a hint of modern in it :) I was so happy with the the way it fit and flowed.
The original price that I paid for the dress was $4900, but my alterations cost $800, and the Swarovsky crystal & rhinestone belt cost $400, totaling $6100.
- DRESS ALTERATIONS
- Adjustments were made on the sides and the hem, as well as in the back, to give it a mermaid look - I wanted it to be more fitted than it originally came. A French bustle and a Swarovsky crystal & rhinestone belt were added. And to give the dress added support, as well as smooth it out, stays were added to the bodest.
