My wedding was on September 18, 2011 and I am now selling my absolutely gorgeous wedding gown. It is a size 20 (probably brought down to a size 18-20 once altered). It is an Alvina Valenta style AV9952 that I bought at the Bridal Garden in Marlton, NJ for $2,345. I am reselling the gown for $1,000.
From the website description of the dress: White / Eggshell light silk shantung A-line bridal gown with strapless soft curved neckline. Ivory alencon lace with Ivory satin ribbon and jeweled detail at natural waist. Covered buttons and loops over zipper down center back, sweep train.
The detail at the natural waist is stunning, with the combination of lace, ribbon, "bling" and all buttons down the back. The neckline is a soft sweetheart.
- DRESS ALTERATIONS
- The length was brought to fit height 5"5 with 2-3 inch heels. The seamstress probably took in 1-2 inches at the top as I am built with a broad back with no hips. As well, to cover a problem areas, the alterations included putting a belt inside the dress in order to keep it snug on me as it falls to a relatively low back (almost v-neck). No other major alterations. No cups sewn in, I wore a long-line bra, size 40D if you need that as well with extenders.
